Me ha animado bastante al ver que gustó mi primer post en Substack. Me gustaría escribir más a menudo pero está siendo una temporada difícil en mi vida. Aunque si algo saco positivo además de que mi madre se va recuperando, es saber que hay personas que me quieren y se preocupan por mí. Es un cliché pero es totalmente cierto que en los malos momentos es cuando te das cuenta de la gente que te apoya realmente.

Me gusto mucho como quedó el último libro que publiqué en Francia. Es para aprender a dibujar personajes y quisiera compartir aquí uno de los tutoriales.
“Personnages - Mes 100 premiers dessins en pas à pas” se divide en diferentes categorías como superhéroes, deportes, monstruos, oficios, expresiones… pero de mis favoritas es la de cuentos. Así que aquí te dejo este gatito aventurero:

Martin Stanev: Ilustrador que vive en el Reino Unido y que ha hecho un par de libros sobre arboles muy bonitos.
Dr Slump: No es la serie de Akira Toriyama, sino un Kdrama precioso sobre dos personas que eran rivales en la infancia y siendo adultos y pasando por el peor momento de su vida se vuelven a encontrar para apoyarse. La serie tiene un buen balance entre escenas tiernas, dramáticas y humorísticas. Y además trata temas como estrés postraumático y la ansiedad.
The Dolphin Brothers: Esta fue una de las múltiples formaciones que salieron del súpergrupo Japan. En este caso era un dúo con Steve Jansen y Richard Barbieri. Sólo sacaron un disco pero que merece mucho la pena. Está producido por Yoshifumi Lio, conocido por trabajar en muchos discos molones de la época como el BGM de los YMO, el Après-Midi de Testpattern o discos de Jun Togawa.

I was quite encouraged to see that my first post on Substack was enjoyed. I would like to write more often but it's been a difficult period in my life. Although if I take something positive besides the fact that my mother is recovering, it is knowing that there are people who love me and care about me. It's a cliché but it's absolutely true that in the bad times is when you realize the people who really support you.

I really liked how the last book I published in France turned out. It teaches you how to draw characters and I would like to share here one of the tutorials.

Martin Stanev: UK-based illustrator who has done a couple of very beautiful tree books.
Dr Slump: It is not the Akira Toriyama series, but a beautiful Kdrama about two people who were childhood rivals and as adults going through the worst time of their lives, they meet again to support each other. The series has a good balance between tender, dramatic and humorous scenes. It also deals with issues such as post-traumatic stress and anxiety.
The Dolphin Brothers: This was one of the multiple formations that came out of the supergroup Japan. In this case it was a duo with Steve Jansen and Richard Barbieri. They only released one album but it is very worthwhile. It is produced by Yoshifumi Lio, known for working on many cool albums of the time like YMO's BGM, Testpattern's Après-Midi or Jun Togawa's albums.
